The University of the West of England Students’ Union is a membership organisation of 27000+ students and an employer of over 70 staff. With the main campus based at the Frenchay site, UWESU provides support and services across 4 additional campuses from Bower Ashton to Hartpury.

We currently have the following vacancies: 

Part-time Health and Safety Adviser
The position is for 16 hours per week with remuneration of £22k to £25 (pro rata) depending on experience + 27 days holiday + Bank Holidays

We are looking for an experienced H&S professional to champion and drive forward effective H&S development within the workplace as UWESUtakes H&S at work very seriously.

Directly reporting to the General Manager, you will hold a National General Certificate Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Diploma2 or equivalent, being responsible for advising and supporting all Department Managers within the Union.

We are looking for a focused and assertive adviser who is both an excellent communicator and trainer but also a team player. You will have at least two year’s experience in the H&S sector and be a lively and approachable individual, capable of assisting in the promotion and development of H&S.

 

This is a very exciting opportunity to drive the Health and Safety agenda forward at the highest level.
